Tilos, is off the beaten path of more popular nearby islands but what a gem. The village of Livadhiou is small and after spending two days here, the people are special. First night we anchored out.  Lots of space and good holding.  Next day we went into the small harbour.  The village reflects a real feeling of pride. Their houses, their restaurants, the food. It is not the typical tourist type menus but more of the home cooked traditional Greek foods. YUM!!

We purchased vegetables from a man selling out of the back of his truck that are grown on the island. There are several small nice hotels and the majority of the visitors we heard were English, returning for yet another stay. I heard two couples comment, “see you next season”. There is a wonderful wide walking path along the bay plus many hiking trails into the hills behind the village.
Sunday morning started early as the local fisherman left before daybreak. Then a small water taxi started his engines as people boarded the boat and departed at 0650. So up I went for my morning walk. Now the return of the herb and pine fragrances that I enjoyed last season. At the end of my workout I stood next to the Church and listened to the male singing pouring out of the open doors and windows. Cats enjoy the afternoon siesta as well.

Also the cats take a siesta
